Sencha's Dishes. Sencha in her kitchen. Recipes, cooking tips and healthy swaps for Vietnamese, Korean, Middle Eastern cuisines and global flavors.

Hi, welcome to my kitchen!

I’m Sencha. Are you a beginner, a fellow food lover, or someone looking to reconnect with flavor and tradition, then make yourself at home! I believe food is love, and I created this space to share the comforting, healthy everyday meals I cook for my family — and now for you.

About Sencha’s Dishes

The aim of Sencha’s Dishes is to inspire home cooks — especially beginners and intermediates — to create flavorful and wholesome meals with confidence. If you love the bold flavors of Vietnamese, Korean, and Middle Eastern cuisines (and other cultures), you’re in the right place. I want to show that homemade food doesn’t have to be complicated to be delicious, and that cooking across cultures can be a joyful, everyday experience.

How I Started Cooking

As a young mom-to-be, I wanted to feed my family healthy, home-cooked meals — and that’s when something clicked. Cooking became my passion. I found myself craving the flavors of my childhood — the comforting dishes my mom used to make and the meals I grew up eating in the homes of friends. I missed that sense of home, that warmth only familiar food can bring. So I began recreating those dishes from memory, asking my mom and friends for guidance, and experimenting until I found my own style.

My Recipes

If you know me, you know that I show my love through food. I love to eat and love to feed the people I care about. Every recipe I share has been tested, adjusted, and deeply enjoyed by friends and family.

I grew up enjoying Korean, Vietnamese, and Arabic dishes — a rich mix I once took for granted. Over time, inspired by flavors from restaurants around the world, I’ve learned to explore and recreate unique dishes in my own way. This blend of global inspiration and homegrown traditions shapes the heart of my cooking.

Food Is Better When Shared

I believe food tastes even better when it’s shared, so I’m excited to share my kitchen adventures with you. Here’s to good meals, lots of laughter, and plenty of love in every bite!
